ACE Interschool U-16 Cricket Tournament is being powered by School Of India.The tournament is approved by the Karnataka State Cricket Association and sponsored by ACE Education Trust, Unibic Biscuits, Dell, Volvo, Servo, The Modern Classroom, indigo 91.9 fm, canterbury and Pitch Vision. The invitations have been extended to the top 16 schools, considering the performance and track record over the years with the KSCA.
The 16 participating schools will be selected from a pool of over the top 50 private and aided schools in Bangalore.
To provide teams international playing condition experience , with sponsored apparel, dressing rooms, high quality umpiring and hospitality.
Take this model across cities in a phased manner to create an inter city rivalry.
Only the top 16 teams from Bangalore will be invited to compete. Enabling a short tournament with high attention and professional conduct.
To provide due inspiration, we will secure a master class Q&A session with a former cricketer.
Reporting Time: 7:00 AM
Match 1 Timings:
Innings 1: 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM
Innings Break: 10:00 AM to 10:10 AM
Innings 2: 10:10 AM to 12:10 PM
Lunch break: 12:10 PM to 1:00 PM
Match 2 Timings:Innings 1: 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM
Innings Break: 3:00 PM to 3:10 PM
Innings 2: 3:10 PM to 5:10 PM
Rules:1) Each team shall bat for 30 overs unless they are bowled out earlier.
2) In the event, the team batting first is dismissed in less than 30 overs, the team batting second shall be entitled to bat the full quota of 30 overs.
3) If the bowling team fails to bowl the required number of overs by the scheduled cessation time, then the team batting second shall bat for the exactly same number overs that they have bowled.
4) A Minimum of 12 overs are required to constitute a match.
5) No bowler shall bowl more than 1/6 th of the total number of overs allotted.
6) Not more than 5 fielders are allowed on the leg-side at the time of delivery.
7) It is mandatory to have a minimum of 4 fielders inside the 30-yard circle throughout the game.
8) A penalty of 6 runs per over for slow over rate shall be added to the team score at the end of the innings after deduction of all allowances.
9) In case of a tie in the league stage points will be shared.
10) At the end of the league stage in case of teams having the same number of points in their respective groups, the teams to qualify for the knockout stage will be as follows:
a) Maximum number of outright wins
b) Head-to-head
c) NRR (net run rate)
11) In the knockout stage, in case of a tie or the minimum of 12 overs are not completed then the match shall be decided by:
a) Team having the better run rate
b) Lesser number of wickets
c) Spin of coin in the presence of both the umpires
12) In the Finals, in the event of a tie and/or the match is not completed for any reason then the trophy will be shared.
13) Each team shall nominate their playing 11. In addition to the playing 11, one Super Sub should be nominated at the time of the toss.
